25Y GTI Unique Features from VW of Germany

1. Steering wheel, isotoner leather, with red stitching, direct replacement for all original VW's with 3 spoke wheels

2. Shifter, leather matches steering wheel, red stitching, silver base ring, Golf ball knob, half aluminum and half leather, GTI Logo at the top, 6 speed

3. E-brake boot, matches steering wheel, red stitching, direct replacement for all MKIV VW's

4. Rear hatch spoiler, slim Votex made, ABS glue on spoiler, will not interfer with 60 degree FUBA antenna, 

5. Front lower spoiler, Votex made, ABS Plastic

6. Rear Spoiler - Has a round exhaust cutout and matches the front spoiler, exhaust cutout is for a 90mm round tip, ABS Plastic.

7. Side skirts, Votex made, but not the same as in the VW accessory catalog, ABS Plastic

8. Badges F & R, old style font, front clips on the OEM grill, the rear is double sided tape.

9. Aluminum Interior, not the same as the "Sport Edition" interior, it is now a brushed aluminum

10. Pedals, rubber circles, not Stainless steel, some kind of treated steel, Dead Pedal fits much better than the Audi TT one.

11. E-Codes (These are special Valeo made units) Black and Chrome design, with fog lights, the black is the border around the lens and the chrome is the reflector backing

12. Floor Mats. red piping, Front and Rear, snaps in, like your originals but with red piping

13. 18 x 7.5 BBS Polished aluminum rims, lightweight, aluminum center caps with VW logo

14. Instrument cluster, not quite the same as the "Sport Edition" Golf and Bora, has silver aluminum rings and dials, but the edges of the rings are polished (nice touch).

15. Exhaust, OEM quality, Stainless Steel, 90mm round output tip, sportier exhaust tone.

16. Lower grills, thinner slats, allows more air flow into the IC and Radiator

17. 312mm Front Brakes and 256mm (vented) rear, the brakes are all from the Big V6 4 motion MK IV, and calipers painted Red, rotors coated with a silver plating at the hubs

18. Seat Belts, the seat belts are different as well, the belts are black with a red border on each side of the belt.  Real nice look when belt is latched.

19. Mirrors, these are smaller than the usual Golf IV mirrors and the passenger side is a little larger than the European small mirror, drivers side is split (of course).

20. Recaro Sport Interior, it is an excellent example of how the inside of a GTI should be Red and Black with Recaro Logos on every seat including the backs.  The rear seat has the folding armrest and has the same Le Mans red pin stripe Pattern as the Front Seats.  The headliner is Black to give it a dark look inside.
