Roger Moore's GTI Special Features
I have taken the time to explain and picture
all the special European features of my NA Spec GTI. I hope this helps you
locate the item you want to see.
1. Front of the GTI - The front
of the car is completely redone using European only parts. Parts Used - European Bumper with VW's
Japanese
front rub strip, Hella headlight washer, ABT Front grill, V6 4 motion front
spoiler, OEM Bosch Xenon headlights, and Hella Micro DE lower fog lights -
Here is a shot with the normal 52cm Plate

Interior - The interior is totally different than when I first got it. It
used to have the dark wood interior decor and the inside of the car was so dark,
I had to lighten it up a bit. Parts used - 2001.5 German VW Bora
instrument cluster w/ Deutsche messages and kpm/ liters, 2001.5 VW Golf
"Sport Edition" aluminum/ silver interior decor, VW new cup holder, 25
Year GTI pedals, 25Y GTI shifter with a Bora chrome shifter base ring, 25Y GTI
Emergency brake Boot, ABT aluminum lock pulls, Kamei Stainless Steel Door Sills,
VW Brillen Box, 25Y GTI Floor Mats, and a Kuda Cellular phone-base.

Suspension - The Original suspension was in dire need of improvements so I had
to tackle that as well. The suspension originally got treated to a set of
Neuspeed sport springs, but since then I have up-graded to Bilstein PSS9
suspension. The Parts - Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers, Neuspeed 28mm Rear sway
bar, Neuspeed Front Strut Brace, and Alpha 1 Motor Sport Carbon Fiber Rear Strut
Brace.

Engine, Engine Compartment and Exhaust - Well the factory
VR6 motor puts out 174 hp originally, but I thought their might be some room in
there to improve on the numbers. Since I live in Germany, the man with the
most power wins out on the Autobahn. My car currently can reach speeds up
to 150 mph (245 kph) and does it fairly quick too. Now it is no 1.8T, but
it holds its own. The Parts - 2002 smaller version Battery Box, air box
modification, Cold Air Inlet from V6 spoiler, UpSolute Chip Tuning, and a
Milltek 68mm Stainless Steel Cat-Back exhaust system, 2001.5 VW aluminum hood
lifter, V6 emblem.
